PANJIM: The Panjim police are on a look out for a co-suspect wanted for questioning in connection with the murder probe of cricket bookie Lakhpat Jain. The police state there is reliable information that she is a proclaimed offender in a property-related offense registered at Greater Kailash police station.
Sources said the Delhi police have informed their counterparts here that the woman and her mother are on the run since October 2014 in a property cheating case.
The investigation team claims to have gathered all facts that resulted in zeroing on three suspects – Vibhor Khanna, currently in the custody of police and being brought to Goa via train; and two women co-suspects of whom only the proclaimed offender is identified.
The police team along with the first suspect is expected to arrive Goa on Sunday evening following which he will be produced before the court for police remand.

His statements did not corroborate with the evidence,” Police Inspector Rajendra Prabhudesai said.
The team also attempted to contact the proclaimed offender for deposition but in vain. “They are being called based on certain facts we have collected involving them. If they don’t cooperate, we are left with no option but to arrest them,” he added.
The interrogation of the two suspects, Prabhudesai said, would help them identify and trace the third woman in the case.
The police also claim to have unearthed phone call details, travel details, accommodation and other information during their investigation so far. It is learnt that victim and suspects often travelled together. The police inspector did not rule out adding more persons as suspects in the case.
