PANJIM; The war of words between Opposition Leader Michael Lobo and TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane over Outline Development Plans (ODP) has forced Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate to ‘scratch’ for some Konkani phraseology. He cited that the main cause of scrapping ODPs was tenancy. “Whatever (TCP Minister) has done, it is because there are tenants. That is what the minister has clearly said. Because it is scratching you here do not scratch others, Babush said as he walked away.
When asked about the issue of scrapping of ODPs and Opposition Leader Michael Lobo being targeted, Babush said, “I’m not bothered about Michael, TCP Minister is there.”
When questioned about the fact that all ODPs have been either scrapped or kept on hold, and only Taleigoa ODP was not scrapped, Babush said it is, “ultimately it is his(Vishwajit’s) dept. It is his decision,! cannot say anything about.”
When it was further pointed out to him that there were allegations that many fields have been filled up
in Taliegao. Babush said, “What can I say? cannot say anything.”
