If they have integrity all 40 MLAs should resign and united fight for Mhadei. People from other states who live in Goa should not be silent but come out and support the fight for Mhadei water, Activists told the media on Friday. They stressed the need for unity to fight against Karnataka where politicians of both ruling and opposition are united. They also pointed to the colossal consumption of fresh water in Pernem Taluka for Mopa airport and other institutions and warned that North Goa will run dry in two years.
The Activists also warned Goans to be vigilant against politicians. Activist Xencor Polji said each and every action of politicians in Goa has a hidden agenda. Activist Sudip Tamankar flayed the questionable support extended by Goa Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. He said the need of the hour was to fight for the cause of Mhadei and that which is true rather than support the Chief Minister.
