IFFI catalogues have Parrikar as Goa CM, Javadekar as I&B minister

PANJIM: Manohar Parrikar will be present at the opening of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Thursday, but he’ll be there as a special invitee and the Defence minister. Festival catalogues show him as chief minister. Similarly with Prakash Javadekar, who has been named as Union Information and Broadcasting minister, though he no longer holds charge of the ministry and it is Arun Jaitley who will be in Goa as I&B minister.

With hours left for the opening of the 45th Edition of IFFI, it appears that the organizers have not been able to keep pace with the recent reshuffle of the Union cabinet. It’s too late now and the official catalogues that have been circulated to delegates, special invitees and the media carry message from the former Information and Broadcasting Minister Javadekar and former Chief Minister Parrikar.
Both the catalogues – Indian Cinema IFFI 2014 and International Cinema IFFI 2014 – have these messages.
Director of Film Festival (DFF) Shankar Mohan said the changes in the cabinet happened after the catalogues were printed. “Nobody had anticipated this reshuffle in the cabinet,” he said.
