The written communique comes after a complaint filed by Generation Next group, alleging Rs 5-crore scam in the tendering works for the 11-day event held last year.
Panjim police inspector Rajendra Prabhudesai confirmed the development stating ESG officials have requested three days to submit required details.
Besides expenditure data, the Panjim police have also sought other details related to the festival that attracts lakhs of delegates from across the world in addition to celebrities from the film fraternity.
The organization claimed that the CAG had exposed the IFFI scam.
