PANJIM: The meticulous IFFI traffic arrangements crumbled under heavy weekend traffic along the Dayanand Bandodkar Marg outside the IFFI venue with bumper to bumper traffic being the order of the day especially after sunset hours.
Owing to cultural performances from the North East along the promenade and the stage erected, the weekend rush at the stalls, the parking along one lane of the four lane road as well as pedestrian movement led to the slow moving traffic.
That there was an IFFI red carpet show on Sunday evening didn’t help the traffic cause.
Traffic police were present at all crucial points along the Dayanand Bandodkar Marg but to no avail.
