MARGAO: Chief Minister Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has urged the public to ignore the false propaganda against the Defexpo at Betul and understand the importance of the project. He stated that although the expo will take place, the land will remain with the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and will be for Goans.
While clearing doubts about the Defexpo, Parsekar said, “Some people are trying to rake up a controversy with false and baseless propaganda. We wished that such an event would happen in Goa and chose South Goa as it is generally out of the limelight when it comes to major events. I assure that the land won’t go to Defense Ministry permanently. In fact, it will be developed for the expo and given back to us, creating free infrastructure for the State.”
