VALPOI: Shel-Melauli villagers’ protest against the proposed IIT project completed two months on Wednesday. The locals continued their protest against the project by blocking the village road. The around 200 women from the village took part in the protest.
According to Melauli villagers, they have not celebrated Diwali and Gudi Padwa this year. They said, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, we held the protest and will continue our protest till the IIT project is shifted to another place.”
“We will continue our fight against the proposed IIT project to save our village and its biodiversity,” said a villager.
