A police team that came down to Goa on Wednesday later took the accused to Mumbai on a transfer warrant for investigations into a 2012 criminal case, wherein Faik Mohammed is accused of supplying an imported fire arm to a gang of miscreants who were preparing to commit a robbery in Mumbai. “During investigations, it came to light that the gang arrested by the Mumbai police for planning the robbery was supplied the imported firearm by accused Faik Mohammed”, the Mumbai police said.

MARGAO: The Mumbai police on Wednesday took into custody Faik Mohammed, who was arrested by the Margao police for illegal possession of a 9 mm pistol and three bullets.
