VASCO: The illegal sale of fish by the roadside has annoyed the market vendors in the market, who claimed that their business has been affected adversely.
“Vasco MLA Krishna `Daji’ Salkar and Mormugao chairperson Leo Rodrigues had promised us that stern action will be taken against those who are selling fish in an illegal manner by the roadside. However, nothing has happened,” the market vendors lamented.
Old Cross Fishing Canoe Owners Co-operative Society president Custodio D’Souza threatened that if vendors continue selling fish by the roadside then they had no option but to sell fish in front of the MLA’s office.
