VALPOI: Sattari Mamlatdar on Thursday demolished an alleged illegal hotel at Thane in Sattari.
Mamlatdar said, “The hotel was built illegally. We were ordered by the Deputy Collector, Bicholim to demolish that structure.”
Land owner Gukuldas Sirnaik had complained to the Thane panchayat stating that one Bala Kotkar had illegally built a structure in his property in Thane without informing him.
He complained that Bala had also threatened him. The inquiry revealed that the structure was illegal.
Bala Kotkar refused to comment on the demolition.
