MAPUSA: In view of the recently issued circular by Under Secretary Revenue towards the illegal filling of land and illegal constructions along National Highway 66, at Mapusa, a special drive/inspection was conducted by Deputy Collector Yasheswini and Bardez Mamlatdar along with the circle inspectors, talathis and PWD officials.
During the site inspection, the report on illegalities have been forwarded to the concerned departments to initiate necessary action and wherever new illegalities are seen, directions are issued to the talathis to report the same on priority basis.
The illegalities are already been reported to the concerned departments as per the notification No 40/1/2013-RD dated 30-9-2013 issued by Under Secretary Revenue II under which the concerned departments are empowered to initiate action wherever the illegalities are within their respective jurisdictions, said the official.
