PANJIM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Goa, on Thursday issued orange alert for the State on June 23 and 24 and yellow alert till June 22.
“Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at a few places over North and South Goa districts of the State on June 23 while heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over North Goa and South Goa districts of the State on June 24,” the IMD said.
The IMD said heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over in Goa on June 21 and 22.
It said that the maximum temperature in the state from June 21 till June 26 will remain between 33 degree celsius and 29 degree celsius while minimum temperature will hover around 25 to 26 degree celsius.
Meanwhile, Mapusa received 2.13 inches of rainfall, Pernem- 1.34, Ponda- 0.7 inches, Panjim- 0.5, Old Goa 0.2, Sanquelim 0.7, Valpoi 0.5, Canacona 0.2. Dabolim 1.4, Mormugao 1.4, Quepem 0.3 and Sanguem 0.9 inches.
