IMD predicts reduction in rainfall

A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around July 28

PANJIM: Unlike the heavy rainfall witnessed over the last couple of days, the Goa unit of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted reduction in rainfall across Goa in the coming days.

This comes on the backdrop of flooding in rural talukas on Friday.

The forecast issued on Saturday also mentioned the reduction in rain for Saturday too.

“Moderate to heavy rainfall will continue across Goa and there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

“A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around July 28,” said IMD Goa.
