PORVORIM: Independent MLA Naresh Sawal urged the state government to improve the electricity service instead of distributing the free LED bubs. Sawal said the electricity bills are not increasing due to the bulbs but the standard of the people living in Goa has changed and now they have purchased fans, refrigerators, mixers, grinders, air conditioners, etc.
“Today if you go to remote areas and even in my constituency the current goes off for two-three days. What is the use of giving free LED bulbs, give them proper service first by improving the electrical power,” Sawal said.
