The department has set up a special cell under Deputy Town Planner Ritesh Shirodkar, to assist and guide the people visiting the head office to view the land plan and make necessary suggestions and objections.
The public can have a look at either a digital version of the land plan or documentation form at the office from 10 am to 5.30 pm. “The land plan is kept open for public. If there is any difficulty, we are here to assist and guide them,” Shirodkar said.
When Herald went to the TCP head office at Patto Tuesday afternoon there were some people trying to understand the land plan and view the areas marked as settlement, fields, industrial zone, eco-tourism, etc. “Today I have just come here to look at my village plan. I have noted down certain points and based on this I will be submitting my comments,” Alfred Costa from Pilerne said. The plan will be kept open for 30 days up to December 30.
The RP21 of the taluka settlement level plans of village panchayats and municipal councils can be inspected at the respective taluka level offices of Town and Country Planning (TCP) department at Tiswadi, Pernem, Bicholim, Ponda, Mormugao, Quepem and Canacona and also at district level offices at Mapusa and Margao.
