Panjim: A day after the Panjim market was shut after a Chimbel women tested positive for COVID-19, Corporation of City of Panjim on Friday said that the market will open on Saturday.
Panjim Mayor Uday Madkaikar said the market will be open on Saturday from 7 am to 12 pm. “However, the vendors from Chimbel will not be allowed to do their business until they bring a negative certificate from the Health department,” he said.
The market was shut after the Chimbel women and another person from a liquor outlet tested positive.
The person from the liquor outlet is still absconding, sources added.
