MARGAO: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo highlighted her years of contribution to social service and emphasised that through her social work, she has never discriminated on the basis of religion or a person’s background.
At a public meeting in Fatorda, Dempo primarily focused her speech on her social service work particularly in the field of education.
She mentioned that her organisation had adopted government schools where the pass percentage had improved tremendously after they took over the management of those schools.
Ms Dempo highlighted her visits to the temple and said that she prayed for the well-being of the people.
She also addressed the women in the audience and praised Prime Minster Narendra Modi for walking the talk with regards to women empowerment by ensuring that the women got a significant amount of representatives in terms of the number of women candidates the party had fielded for the Parliamentary elections.
Pallavi declares assets worth Rs 283 crore
MARGAO: BJP South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo has declared her assets worth over Rs 283.64 crore.
In the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, Pallavi has movable assets worth Rs 255,44,59,917 and immoveable assets of Rs 28.20 crore. She owns gold weighing 3,753 kgs which is currently valued more than Rs 5.69 crore.
She has shown her annual income of over Rs 10 crore for the financial year 2022-23. In her income tax returns, she had no liabilities except liabilities that are under dispute i.e. government dues of Rs 15.86 crore. She has declared that she does not any agricultural or non-agricultural land. Dempo has no criminal case registered against her.
