Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant defends the NITI Aayog claim that Goa has 1.10 lakh unemployed youth, stating that about 80,000 are already employed elsewhere, but have not cancelled their names at the State Employment Exchange. He added that these people are waiting for govt jobs, so the governmment is working on a system in which the names of such employees will be automatically cancelled from the Employment Exchange record. In reality, only 20,000 people are unemployed he said.
