Tragically, it invariably takes deaths to give life to issues that are never addressed. It took the death of three Russian women on a dolphin sighting trip- stuff that almost every tourist does, for a knee jerk reaction- temporary suspension of water sports activities, and then an immediate revocation of the same order. But at the very least, the administration and the Captain of Ports are looking not just stronger guidelines but strictest possible monitoring of water sports activities on the coast. We hope that this at last, isn’t temporary. VIBHA VERMA reports
