However, Govind Gaude, Independent candidate supported by BJP, is trying to reverse the trend this time encouraging young people to vote for change in the name of development. Govind remains busy in the morning with the meetings in constituency with women groups and post lunch, he starts his campaigning. It lasts till late evening. Large chunks of youth are seen with him during his campaign trail.
Gaude who is an engineer, had resigned from a multinational company three years back and is has been in completely into politics and social work. He feels the independent candidates in the state assembly strengthens the intervention capacity and this is the reason why people will vote for him.
“In last assembly, most issues were highlighted and argued by the Independents and this time there is an example before people to vote for me,” he said. Gaude is completing his third round of campaigning in Priol.
