Indian Cancer Society rolls out Project Satark to create awareness for Oral and Cervical cancer

With the increasing incidence of cancer in the country, the emotional and financial burden of this disease is increasing disproportionately. The Indian Cancer Society will launch a project Satark which will train front-line healthcare workers on oral and cervical cancer awareness and prevention programmes in Goa. Speaking at the inaugural Chief Minister Pramod Sawant requested the attendees to visit more people to create awareness of Cancer, and to reduce the no. of Cancer patients in Goa,. He also requested the medical professionals to patients to Govt screening facilities.
