PANJIM: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) National Executive on Monday unanimously passed a resolution requesting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should become the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president again.
The resolution was proposed by IYC President Srinivas B V on the concluding day of two-day National Executive and it was unanimously adopted. AICC Joint Secretary In-Charge of Indian Youth Congress Krishna Allavaruji was also present.
IYC National Media In-Charge Rahul Rao said that there was a deep thought and discussion on many topics and on many issues such as the challenges before the organisation in the coming days and how can success be achieved on those challenges. Also major programmes of the organisation, internal elections, membership and all the major issues including the campaign were discussed in detail.
The serious issues that the country is facing such as unemployment, rising inflation, farmers problem, national security, selling the country’s properties, all such burning issues, and how to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on these anti-people issues in the coming times were also discussed threadbare.
Rao said that the political and the organisational resolutions were unanimously passed by all the national office-bearers and by all the State presidents during the national executive held at Bambolim. IYC National President Srinivas said that Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi should become the AICC president again.
He said that in the coming days, the Youth Congress will fight against all burning issues in the interest of the country on the streets and will take this struggle to the people.
AICC Joint Secretary In-Charge of Youth Congress Krishna said that every single worker of the IYC will fight against this dictatorial government in the coming days and will work to take the ideology of the Congress Party and the message of Rahul Gandhi to the people of the country.
Meanwhile, Youth Congress will stage protest on September 7, at Azad Maidan, Panjim at 10.30 am against rising prices of commodities and rising unemployment. IYC National President and AIUCC Joint Secretary In-Charge of Youth Congress and others will address the YC members.
