IndiGo on Monday cancelled 118 flights across its domestic network due to adverse weather conditions and operational reasons, according to information available on the airline’s website. Of the total cancellations, six flights were scrapped due to operational issues, while the remaining services were affected by bad weather at several airports. Flight operations were disrupted at major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Dehradun, Indore, Patna and Bhopal, among others.
In a travel advisory issued at 11.20 am, IndiGo said foggy conditions continued to prevail across Delhi and several airports in northern India, with visibility yet to improve fully. The airline warned that the impact on flight movements could extend into the noon hours, leading to further delays. While the advisory did not mention the total number of cancellations, IndiGo said flight departures and arrivals were being managed in a phased manner to ensure orderly operations and passenger comfort.

Earlier this month, IndiGo had cancelled thousands of flights, including nearly 1,600 in a single day, following court-mandated stricter flight duty time and rest period norms for pilots. Since the onset of the fog season on December 10, flight cancellations have continued in significant numbers.
