OLD GOA: With the youngsters speeding without concern for the lives of the pedestrians, particularly the children, some Indira Nagar residents have installed unauthorised speed breakers at several points to control the speed of the vehicles.
Residents told Herald that the speed breakers were installed at various places without permission from the authorities concerned, a fact confirmed by PWD JE Chandran who informed that they have not received any proposal for installing speed breakers inside locality of Indira Nagar, Chimbel.
“Speed breakers have been approved near the Kirlawada School near Indira Nagar,” Chandran informed while stating that the PWD has not installed any speed breakers inside the Indira Nagar locality.
