Indo-French Investment Conclave on November 8

PANJIM: Following the success of the first edition of the Indo-French Investment Conclave in Nagpur in 2018, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), in association with the Embassy of France is organising its second edition of the Indo-French Investment Conclave in Goa on November 8. 
Consul general of France in Mumbai Sonia Barbry will lead a delegation of more than a hundred leaders of Indian and French companies to the conclave. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister of State, Ministry of Defence Shripad Naik will be supporting the event wholeheartedly. 
The event holds special significance as it will open many avenues for a multilateral trade partnership between India and France in the key areas of defence and aerospace, shipping and logistics and sustainability and green city. Over 350 visitors including 30 French companies are expected to participate in the discussions leading to an enabling environment for boosting the Indo-French partnership. 
The event will also bring together Indian national and State authorities, policymakers, top private sector players from India and France, multilateral agencies, and eminent industry experts. Welcoming the conclave, Consul General Sonia Barbry in her statement said, “France is eager to working with the Goan authorities to see how we can facilitate and encourage even more French companies to come, invest, manufacture and innovate in Goa.” 
President of the Goa Chambers of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Manoj Caculo said that such an event will bring in more opportunities to the State. 
“In Nagpur, they have done a lot and if replicated in Goa it will help the State generate more employment and develop the State’s economy.”
President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Goa Chapter, Lalit Saraswat also invited all business community to come forward and participate in this event and believed that, “This event will have experts in the field of defence, aerospace and solar energy apart from other sectors who will participate, much to the benefit of the Goans.”
Prasanna Mohile, senior advisor, public affairs and conclaves of CII France-Inde said that “we are very excited to be in Goa and we will hope that the State of Goa takes advantage of this event and generate more favourable economy, employment etc.”
