Industries minister assures GIDC of govt support

PANJIM: Industries Minister Vishwajit Rane met the new Managing Director (MD) of Goa Industries Development Corporation (GIDC) IAS officer Mekala Chaitanya Prasad and assured full support of the government in driving the corporation forward.

During a meeting at the secretariat, Rane discussed various issues pertaining to enhancing the ease of doing business in Goa, ensuring land allotment is on par with Investment Promotion Board (IPB) to complement the State’s single window clearance, digitising additional services for industries, and developing the Industrial Policy.

Meanwhile, Rane, who is also the health minister held another meeting, to discuss the modalities of the upcoming inauguration of the new Primary Health Centre (PHC) building at Cansaulim.  

Rane said the meeting was productive. Dr Jose D’Sa, Director of Health Services (DHS) and others like Dr Rajnanda Desai, Sushma Saini, Dr Kedar, Santanu Dhar and Ghanshyam Parab were present at the meeting.
