Infant Jesus Fama prompts PWD to repair Colva roads

MARGAO: The road leading to world-famous Colva Beach which was in pathetic conditions finally seems to be repaired, as the concerned authorities noticed repairing the roads on Thursday.

This work has been carried out in wake of Infant Jesus Fama to be celebrated on October 18 at Colva. On the other hand, Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has promised that the road leading to the beach will be fully hot-mixed by October end.

The road from Colva circle near the church to the Colva Beach was in pathetic conditions due to the work related to the laying of the sewerage network. What was more disgusting to the tourists and locals were the heavy rains that had created a mess over her. Apart from potholes, one side of the road also has mud which with the rain water has lowered the road level.
