MARGAO: In a shocking incident, an eight-month-old infant was allegedly kidnapped from the lawful guardianship of his parents while they were fast asleep outside a masjid at Malbhat, Margao.
Margao Police said the infant’s mother in her complaint stated that on the intervening night of November 14 and 15 some unknown person kidnapped her eight-month-old infant from the lawful guardianship of his parents outside the masjid at Malbhat and fled.

Based on the complaint, the police registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
According to sources, police have detained a person in this connection. However, they are looking out for the main accused.
