…Infra projects started by Parrikar will be completed by 2022

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that all infrastructure development projects started by late chief minister Manohar Parrikar would be completed by 2022.

Dr Sawant on Tuesday paid floral tributes to former defence minister and former chief minister of Goa late Manohar Parrikar on the occasion of his First Death Anniversary at the under construction of Parrikar-Smriti Stal, Miramar.

Speaking to the reporters, Dr Sawant said that the Parrikar is being missed by everyone in the State today.

“I miss him every single day. Every time when I sit to take administrative decisions or attend party function or in a social life, his imprints are found everywhere,” Dr Sawant told reporters after paying floral tributes.

The Chief Minister said that the infrastructure development which had started during the tenure of Parrikar will be completed by the year 2022 but it will take care of requirement of another 25 years.

He said that Parrikar constructed few of the best educational infrastructure facilities.

“We have well-equipped hospitals. Primary health centres, sub centres and others. The work on super-speciality block of Goa Medical College and Hospital would be completed soon,” he said.

Minister for PWD Deepak Pauskar, Minister for Revenue Jennifer Monserrate, Minister for Water Resources Filipe Neri Rodrigues, MLA Panjim Atanasio Monserrate, MLA Fatorda Vijay Sardessai, Mayor of Corporation City of Panaji Uday Madkaikar, Advocate General Devidas Pangam, Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, IAS; Collector North Goa R Maneka, IAS; Chairman of EDC Sadanand Shet Tanavade, secretaries to the government, other senior government officers and family members of late Parrikar were present.
