PANJIM:The government is contemplating waiving off the infrastructure tax for the construction of houses by ST community, Tribal Welfare Minister Ramesh Tawadkar has said.
Saying that the finalization of such a scheme was at a final stage, Tawadkar said that it would be applicable only to single dwelling units that tribals seeks to construct and would be applicable only on the first house an individual constructs. “The draft is in its final stages. It will be announced shortly,” Tawadkar said.
