According to reports, the victim girl fell and injured herself inside a running bus when sudden brake was applied. She was taken to the Cottage Hospital but was not given immediate treatment, as the doctor on duty had gone for lunch.
This angered the people present at the hospital who also raised serious concern over non-availability of doctors as well as shortage of doctors at the Cottage Hospital.
Sources at the hospital complained that repeated requests to authorities to depute more doctors and fill up the vacant posts of other staff has not been heeded to.
