CALANGUTE: After repeated complaints and protests by residents and the Calangute Constituency Forum (CCF) about destruction of sand dunes and beach vegetation, the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has decided to soon hold a site inspection of a beachside property in Survey numbers 112/1, 114/1 and 114/2 at Dando, Candolim, next to a five-star hotel.
The inspection was originally to be held on November 16, but was postponed to November 21 and has now been postponed again, according to the CCF.
Following inaction by the authorities despite repeated complaints about the destruction of the coastal area, CCF members had staged a protest at the Candolim panchayat last Wednesday.
