PANJIM:  An owner of a resort in Saligao and his business partner, charged with allegedly operating sex trade, were arrested in a joint effort by Goa Crime Branch and Punjab Police.

Information shared by Goa Crime Superintendent of Police Shobhit Saxena states that Goa CB, based on reliable information, stumbled upon inter-State prostitution racket being operated from Valley View Resort in Saligao.

During the investigation following initial arrest of Ismael Mohammadsab Hanabarkada, operating the resort on lease; the CB was informed that his accomplice Nishant Kapoor alias Raaz — also an hotelier from Punjab — was operating the illicit racket from. Chandigarh.

“A team was sent to Chandigarh where with the assistance of Punjab Police Superintendent of Police Ravjot Grewal, accused Nishant Kapoor alias Raaz alias Rohan was arrested. Nishant disclosed how he solicited clients online. Accordingly, his online ads and website and phone numbers have also been taken off by CB,” Saxena informed.

Nishant was brought to Goa on a transfer warrant on November 28 after which he was formally arrested for the offence under relevant Sections of Immoral (Traffic) Prevention Act and Indian Penal Code. Both Ismael and Nishant are in the custody while the CB is on a look out for Mohammad Asif Inamdar, a technical assistant maintaining the Escorts website run by Nishant.
