The State government has decided to hold an interaction between the COVID-19 treating doctors in Goa and the AIIMS doctors on Tuesday. Also, these doctors will be taken to the three wards at GMC exclusively prepared to admit critical COVID-19 patients.
“We plan to take them to the three wards for COVID-19 patients and also shown them the COVID-19 hospital. We are also planning to hold a lecture session for the staff so that everyone gets a chance to interact with the experts ,” Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said, adding, “We will also discuss about the SOPs we are following which is as per the MHA, WHO and AIIMS guidelines, how to improve, etc. Let the poor and average people also get the benefit.” The functioning at the wards and the COVID-19 hospital will also be explained and shown to the doctors of AIIMS and the RR Army Hospital.
The GMC on Monday commissioned wards for ‘critical’ patients. The Dean also said that they have received 68 plasma donors so far, and many COVID-19 patients have been administered plasma therapy. At present, a bank of 12 out of the total plasma are with the State.
