PANJIM: The Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (IPB) on Wednesday cleared 10 proposals with proposed investment of Rs 347.93 cr and employment potential of 3,495 jobs.
After chairing the 33rd Board meeting at Altinho, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “Of the 10 projects, four units are expansion of manufacturing capacity in their existing units, three are new units proposed by existing manufacturing companies in Goa, one unit is a Goan Start-up which is working in the area of battery operated ATV’s and UTV’s for defence sector, a senior executive of pharmaceutical company is venturing into food testing laboratory business and the last one is a Goan hospitality brand with multiple units across Goa investing in another eco-tourism project.”
The 10 approved proposals include Guala Closures distillery at Harvalem (expansion);PowerlandAgrotech, a Goan Startup with global clientele working in the area of battery operated All Terrain Vehicles; Tulip Diagnostics Pvt Ltd (expansion); Imperial Bisleri (expansion) at Kundaim;Cacora – based Sound System manufacturing unit Basex’s expansion proposal at Sanguem; green category food processing industry at Verna; resort at Ela Tiswadi and pharma company Encube Ethicals.
The Chief Minister said that these projects demonstrate the immense opportunity of doing business in the State and the fact that all 10 projects are Goa-based is a thumps-up to the efforts of the government in assuring economic prosperity.
