IPFB grants in-principle approval to six new companies

PANJIM: The Investment Promotion and Felicitation Board (IPFB) on Tuesday granted in-principle approval to six new companies to establish their units in Goa with a total investment of Rs 310 crore. 

Addressing media persons post meeting, Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho said that Board aims to promote only green industries adopting modern technologies. 

Godinho said that in today’s meeting total six proposals, with total investment of Rs 310 crore and employment potential of 2450 persons, were granted in-principle approval.

The companies basically involved those into mussel farming, distillery and manufacturing. “We have also granted approval for a theme park project in Dhargal in Pernem taluka,” he said. 

The Minister said that Mussel Farming in sea water is something new that we have allowed. “The company will take local fishermen into confidence and also provide employment and business,” he said. 

IPFB during its last meeting held in November, 2022 had approved total eight project with total investment of Rs 1100 crore.
