ARAMBOL: The irregular KTC services on Keri-Mapusa-Panjim route has annoyed locals. Students, office goers, senior citizens and others were affected by the irregular bus service over the past five days. Passengers have said that the government’s ‘My Bus’ scheme has stayed just on the paper.
The KTC trip on the respective route at 6:15 in the morning has not been regular. “Currently, the Kadamba Corporation is busy in Mhaji Bus scheme but what is the corporation intending to do by causing inconvenience to the students?” asked Chidanand Parab, one of the passengers. “Any bus trip in the morning is important as students and office goers travel at this time in the buses,” said Parab.
“This is a busy route and four buses run on this route between 6:15 till 8 in the morning. The Arambol-Siolim, Korgao-Aroba, Keri-Pernem, Keri-Siolim-Mapusa etc are important routes and KTC’s otherwise reliable service has become unreliable,” said a student named Aniket Harmalkar. Locals have demanded for Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar to look into the matter.
