ISRO Chairman S Somanath recently revealed that experts from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) were impressed by India’s achievements and were interested in India sharing its space technology.

During the development of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO collaborated with NASA-JPL experts, showcasing India’s capabilities in designing and building spacecraft. The US experts were particularly impressed with the cost-effectiveness and high technology of India’s scientific instruments, suggesting that India could consider selling this technology to the United States.

Somanath highlighted the changing times, India’s ability to build advanced equipment and rockets, and the Indian government’s move to open the space sector to private players. He encouraged young minds to dream big and pursue careers in space technology, hinting at India’s ambitious plans for future lunar missions, including sending Indian astronauts to the Moon.

Somanath’s message was clear: India is on the path to becoming a global space power, and the youth should play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s technological future. He noted that India’s rising influence in the space sector is being acknowledged and respected by international space agencies, and he expressed confidence that India’s technology-driven growth would lead to economic prosperity and global influence.
