Issue work order for Civil Court revamp by October 10: HC

The South Goa Advocates Association through its President Prasad Naik had filed an affidavit along with photographs to show the present status of the dilapidated portion of the Civil Court Building.

MARGAO: Taking note of the emergent situation, the High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the State Government to issue the work order pertaining to the works of the Civil Court Building at Margao before October 10. The High Court has also instructed the Secretary (Law) to look into the matter personally, in order for the work to start from October 15 and be completed by mid-January,2023.

The High Court noted that advocates, judges and court staff face several difficulties because they have to operate from the District Court Building, where there is no sufficient space as some of the other courts have also been shifted there. The South Goa Advocates Association through its President Prasad Naik had filed an affidavit along with photographs to show the present status of the dilapidated portion of the Civil Court Building.
