MAYEM: Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza said the State government has provided good infrastructure to ITIs in the State with an intention to promote the development of ITI students.
D’Souza was speaking during induction programme for the newly admitted ITI students at Industrial Training Institute Bicholim on Monday.
“It is the duty of every student to expose their potentials in different fields as the requirement of well-equipped human resources in every field has become a need of the hour,” stated D’Souza.
“The main reason behind unemployment in Goa is the mentality of students and youth not to work in Goa either in the cases of white-collared jobs or a job pertaining to daily wages,” said D’Souza.
He called upon Goan youth to come forward to work in Goa with full confidence irrespective of the nature of job. He also advised the students and teachers not to use mobile phones in the classrooms.
Deputy Speaker Anant Shet asked students to devote fully towards their ITI career to create a good human resource in Goa and India, while MLA Naresh Sawal appreciated the efforts of the State government for making admission procedure flexible.
Bicholim Municipal Council Chairperson Narayan Betkikar, electrical CEO coordinator Stephen Coutinho, ITI Principal Marino D’Souza and ITI Director Alexo F D’Sosta were present on the occasion.
