Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni delegated work to her two ministers of state (MoS) on Thursday. S Jagathrakshakan will be responsible for all field activity in Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and all the southern states, and will also look after organisations like the Song and Drama Division, Publications Division, Photo Division, Films Division, National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Chief Controller of Accounts.
Choudhary Mohan Jatua has been given charge of all field activity in all units in eastern states like West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, as well as organisations like the Directorate of Field Publicity, Press Council of India, Research, Reference and Training Division, Electronic Media Monitoring Centre and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute.
He will also monitor matters excluding policy decisions and group A officers.
