Mapusa: A jail guard attached to Colvale central jail was found smuggling drugs inside the Colvale jail on Saturday.
According to Mapusa police, jail guard Rama Bablo Kogaonkar a resident of Mokhrevada, Revora attached to Colvale central jail was found possessing ganja weighting 50 grams.
Police sources said when the guard was entering the jail, he was intercepted by IRB staff at the checking and frisking point during which he was found carrying 50 grams of ganja wrapped in black colour insulation tape inside the shoe.
Mapusa police have booked the jail guard under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and is placed under police custody.
