He said that Goa is the most holy and religious place in India. With many religious places, it always remains related with God. Therefore, Goa is an ideal place for practising Yoga, he said, adding that he wanted to develop Goa as the world Yoga Centre.
The Maharaj was addressing the media on his arrival to lead the historical celebration of chaturmas (four months) Varshayog at Bhagawaan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Mollem. The chaturmas will be celebrated from August 2 through November 12.
During the celebrations, Swamiji will perform meditations, observe one month moun vrat (silence), fast and also guide and deliver lectures on spirituality.
To a question as to how to curb the rising suicides among farmers, the Swamiji said providing them work would reduce suicides.
Swamiji said the major part of the chaturmas will be convergence of different faiths. The celebrations would include bhajans, kirtans, discourse, cultural procession, garba, yoga workshop and dyanshibir.
