Jan 13 night was coldest so far: IMD

PANJIM: January 13 night, turned out to be the coldest of the season so far, with the Indian Meteorological Observatory recording the temperature at 16 degrees Celsius – the second lowest for January, since 2008.

The temperatures have been hitting lows over the last couple of days, with the mercury continuing to dip, after recording 17.3 degrees Celsius on January 11. 
Tuesday night turned out to be lowest with night temperature going 4 degree Celsius below normal. This has been the second lowest for January since 2008. January 28, 2008, had recorded temperature of 15.2 degree Celsius.
The lowest known temperature recorded in Goa was 14.1 degrees Celsius on December 14, 1945. The second lowest temperature was recorded at 14.4 degrees Celsius on January 3, 1991. 
The maximum temperature reported on Tuesday was 32.4 degree Celsius above normal. 
IMD has predicted that Goa will witness slight rise in night temperatures over the next three days.
