CANACONA: PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar attended a largely attended Janata Darbhar organised by Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes at Sristhal panchayat on Tuesday.
On the occasion, locals as well as most of the elected representatives of the local panchayats and lone municipal council vent their ire on local PWD officials over irregular water supply and bad conditions of some of the internal roads in the taluka.
Canacona has most of its population living with little development since Goa was liberated in 1961.
The successive governments have also not taken keen interest in developing the constituency when it came to improvements in public utility works like drinking water supply and good roads.
While canvassing for election in 2017, Isidore Fernandes had assured the voters of Canacona constituency that if he gets elected his priority would be to improve the water supply and roads in the constituency.
