Janshatabdi, Tejas cancelled, few diverted

MARGAO: River Vashishiti in Chiplun spilled on to the railway tracks so as precautionary measure the railway administration has stopped all trains running on the affected route. 

The railway authorities said that Janshatabdi and Tejas Express have been cancelled and another four trains have been diverted.

The railway bridge over the Vashishti River has been affected badly. It has been decided to stop the Konkan Railway from considering the danger of floods. According to information received, water was flowing from the railway tracks in and around Khamti station.

The water level was so high that the rails were not even visible, revealed the railway officials.  Meanwhile, Baban Ghatge Chief Public Relation Officer clarified regarding fake news on circulation on social media of Old Goa tunnel is in danger. “There is no problem in Old Goa tunnel,” he informed.
