Januz case: Three GMC staffers questioned again

PANJIM: The suspended head of forensic department of Goa Medical College (GMC), Dr Edmund Rodrigues, junior technician Machindra Jalmi and post mortem attendant Prakash Narvekar underwent another round of questioning by Crime Branch (CB) on Monday in the case of illegal disposal of Aldona youth Januz Gonsalves’ body.
The trio was questioned in the Crime Branch office at Ribandar based on “crucial information” gathered by the investigation team. 
“We have collected some evidence in this case based on which they were summoned for questioning again. All three were interrogated and confronted with the information gathered during the ongoing investigation,” an officer told Herald declining to divulge interrogation details. 
Family members of the footballer, who had died while playing football on September 23, were shocked to learn that the body was disposed by Goa Medical College  through Corporation of City of Panaji as an “unclaimed body”.
