PANJIM: The 1996 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer Jaspal Singh will succeed current Director General of Police Indradev Shukla from next month.
Shukla, appointed DGP of the coastal State in November 2021, retires on March 31, 2022.
Singh is presently serving as Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi. He has served as Inspector General of Goa Police form June 2017 to July 2020 before his transfer to Delhi on promotion.
Singh will take the charge as DGP Goa with effect from April 1, as per the order issued by the Union government, on Tuesday.
