Jawahar richest aspirant in South!

Hazard a guess who is the richest candidates amongst the 11 candidates contesting the Lok Sabha seat from South Goa.
Well, certainly not the candidates fielded by the political parties, but this city-based lawyer, Adv Jawahar Dias has put his total assets, mostly comprising of landed property, to Rs 41 crore.
Confirming the figure, Dias, however, said most of the assets comprises of ancestral property.
Incidentally, Dias is not new to South Goa politics, having contested the 2004 Lok Sabha polls on the MGP banner.
Dias has come out with a long manifesto, promising development of the middle class, working class families and the labour class.
Promising to work out schemes for the welfare of widows and children, he assured to ban the mega housing projects and de-notify the special Economic zones.
Demanding a ban on dredging of rivers for commercial activities, Jawahar Dias called for cancellation of the new mining leases.
Like other candidates, Dias has promised to regularize housing structures facing demolition along the coastal belt.
